- Even if they don't approve of some of the things I do, they do accept them
- They love me. Period.
- Some days, I love that they're 160 miles away in the summer; farther in the winter. Some days I hate that.
- My dad still chases Canada geese and wants to buy a goose call.
- Their quiet faith in God. That, as far as I can see, has never wavered.
- Their home is still my home.
- Their willingness to do.
- Their strength in being willing to leave the church where their children are worshipping because of the way the theology is leading them.
- I love my dad's approval of me leaving my old church for the same reason.
- My mom's baked beans.
- My dad's biscuits and gravy.
- My dad's willingness to do laundry because Mom can't do stairs.
- My mom's determination to keep up, even when she can't.
