Perseverance

"By perseverance the snail reached the ark."
~ Charles Spurgeon ~
It took me 6 years. I had wonderful encouragement (thank you). I wasn't going to walk but was told that it's not about me - my kids need to see the value of perseverance. I may have been the "snail" and I'll continue to be a "snail". But I've gotten to the halfway point.

  1. I've never heard this quote before. . . but I love it!!

And, whoever told you about it's not just for you is right. Those around you deserve to celebrate you and see the value of perseverance and education. So, did you change your mind about walking?

  2. Yes - I am planning on walking and my mom and dad will see the first of their children (or grandchildren) to walk in a post-high-school ceremony.

    😉

  3. Oh, Ellen how wonderful that the celebration is upon you 🙂 . I am so thrilled for you and your family.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this week's IOW quote.

I will have to fix your link, since an older post is coming up. Might be that WP auto-completed your link...

    Blessings to you and yours.

  5. Thanks! I think that even one of my students wants to come see me (or my daughter - lol) - if his mom will drive him.

Check back Saturday evening for photos 😉
