The more I dig, the more I find.
Question: at what point is a church (or at least the church leadership) "apostate"?
I hope somebody has an answer.

Good question Ellen. Apostasy is falling away from the Faith. That is, the essentials that define us as Christians such as denying the Trinity, Salvation by Faith Alone in Christ Alone,Scripture Alone as the infallible rule of Faith for the Church, the substitutionary death of Christ for our sins, His second coming, original sin. I may have left out some but these are the ones that quickly come to mind.
Usually if one is denied, others are as well because of the systemic nature of the essentials.

We still have all that - it's the folks that the pastors allowed into the pulpit (one time) that have me apprehensive.
