All of those tumors...
luckily she was on FMLA.
Her breast was removed and the tumor in the other was removed...lymph nodes do not appear to be involved and the cancer is one of the non-invasive varieties
Her ovaries were removed
the tumor in her stomach does not appear to be cancer at all!
God is good and prayer works.
Something can "matter" without "making a difference"
Having something "matter" is just an emotion...it means that you care.
The question then, becomes "do you care enough to act on the emotion?"
If so, then the the thing that "matters" also "makes a difference".
It matters to me that my daughter would be very upset if I had her cat put to sleep...but even though it matters, if the time comes, I cannot let that emotion of "matter" also "make a difference."
If there is no action, no change...then whatever it that "matters" does not "make a difference"...and there is little that "makes a difference"
One one thing.
ABC News reporter Terry Moran caused quite a commotion tonight Twitter after writing the following: "Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a "jackass" for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential."
oops....
In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.
Can I still agree with him if he was "off the record"?
(Yesterday was politics day and I missed it, so here it is)
He misses home. I told him that I miss him a lot.
He's short on cash and I told him that I'll help as much as I can, which is not very much.
His financial aid still is not done because they lost my tax information (I can fax it tomorrow). He has a $500 bill that needs to be paid.
But classes are going well.
It was really, really good to tell him I love him. That his whole family is proud of him. That he's doing good.
And that - he told me that he doesn't like to ask for money - that he should let others be blessed by blessing him.
16 - define "sin"
"sin" is that which defies the Law of God. From our first father (Adam) on, we have all been born into a state of sin.
17 - how important is "denomination"?
I believe it is most important when looking for a new church - If you know what you believe, it is the denominational standards that will tell you if a particular church has the same general beliefs that you do.
18 - what are the advantages of being in a particular denomination? disadvantages?
The advantages are that there is additional oversight - if something goes wrong in a church, there is somebody higher up that you can go to.
The disadvantages are that the more structure there is, the slower the process goes.
Everybody loves Jackie.
Thursday they are doing a radical mastectomy on the right and doing a lumpectomy on the left. Also removing a tumor from her stomach and her cervix. Also doing testing on her thyroid.
We are having a prayer service at work before she going into surgery.
Yesterday, the high school where I used to work had an "incident" - as school was letting out a student left the building, took a handgun out of his back pack and fired it into the air.
Today a different student was caught with a sawed-off shotgun in class.
I heard more of the Gospel from Michael Savage tonight than I did in church on Sunday.
I joined twitter so that I could post my eating in my sidebar. I'm not sure anybody cares and I said in a forum yesterday that I don't tell people certain things, including what I had for breakfast...I take that back...look in my sidebar for what I had for breakfast.
